Getting my butt kicked in a short track race |
 |
First of all, if you're more interested in the bikes I ride, then just click on the link, and
don't bother reading the rest of this tripe about me.
I'm not one of those pretentious people that likes to write about himself in the third person (I'm one of the stuck-up ones who writes in the first person instead), so here's a brief biography.
- I was born on November 2nd, 1976 in Chicago. What a dump! I moved to New Mexico at the ripe old age of 3.
- I attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs and finally graduated (after a number of near misses caused by an obsession with rock climbing)
with a BA in Chinese. Unfortunately, I forgot most of it, doh!
- I learned to mountain bike in the late 90s, so I'm a relative newcomer to the sport. I took to it quickly, though, upgrading to race as a NORBA
pro about a year after I started riding.
- I have raced and ridden mountain bikes and motorcycles extensively throughout the western US.
- In 2004, I finally got fired from my "real" job and started building bikes full time. I also got fat and slow.
- In 2006, I made a glorious return to racing, finishing mid-pack and gasping for air every week in the Boulder Short Track series.
- Future plans include building a heck of a lot of bikes, getting on the podium in a race again, and, while I'm in wishful thinking mode, some gold chains and a chart-topping rap album.
